Ijumu Council Poll: Pastor Stanley Ajileye Tackles Taofiq Isa, Says ‘You Cannot Kick Against The Bricks Without Getting Hurt’

By Samuel OJ Temibi

A renowned journalist, Pastor Stanley Omoniyi Ajileye has counseled the immediate past administrator of Ijumu local government, Alhaji Taofiq Isa to contest the forthcoming chairmanship position and waste the money he has accumulated in the last four Year.

Ajileye said that it is an insult on the leaders of Ijumu to visit and appeal to the former administrator not to contest the forthcoming council election.

Ajileye criticized Taofiq Isah to have had the effontery to contest the much coveted chairmanship position after he has been declared persona non grata to contest.

Ajileye described Taofiq as an opportunist who is not considerate because according to him Taofiq can still get an appointment from governor Yahaya Bello if he is considerate.

“By the way, what is Hon Taofiq looking for after administering the council for four full year, the longest since the creation of the Local Government?

“He should not make people think of him as an opportunist or a “seller of fish”
If he is considerate, we all know he can still get an appointment from the governor, he said.

Ajileye in an infuriated manner argued that Alhaji Taofiq cannot kick against the bricks without getting hurt noting that those who are pushing him will drain him down and dump him at the end.

“They will drain him and dump him at the last seconds. People like you makes him feel as if, we are only waiting for his signature.
“Anyone that loved him, must let him know that he can not kick against the bricks without getting hurt. Ijumu is bigger than anyone’s personal ambition. He said

The aspiration of Alhaji Taofiq Isah to contest the forthcoming Ijumu chairmanship position has continue to receive a big fat blow as leaders from Ijumu across party have joined forces to drag down the former administrator into the pit.

Meanwhile one of the leaders of Ijumu who is a former council chairman of the local government, Hon Dada Fehinti has vowed to go into the mud with the former administrator.

Hon Dada has on several occasion lambasted the immediate past ALGON Chairman for deliberately making move to set the local government on fire by pursuing what he referred to as selfish ambition.

Hon Dada on Monday while addressing news men in Lokoja on behalf of the chairmanship aspirants appealed to governor yahaya Bello to consult leaders, stakeholders and traditional rulers before taking action on the forthcoming chairmanship election in Ijumu local government.

However, Alhaji Taofiq Isah despite the perpetual attacks on his ambition seems unperturbed as he has vowed to return as the elected chairman of the local government.
