In view of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Ayetoro– Gbede Founders’ day earlier slated to hold on the 2nd May,2020 has been postponed indefinitely.
This is contained in a Press Release by the President of Ayetoro- Gbede Development Association ( AGDA) Worldwide, Elder Olorunfemi Ezekiel Adekunle In Ayetoro- Gbede, Ijumu Local Government Area,Kogi State.
According to him,the postponement was arrived at after due consultation of executive members of AGDA Worldwide with Kabiyesi, the Olu of Ayetoro – Gbede, His Royal Highness ( HRH) Oba David Sunday Ehindero JP.
Elder Adekunle further stated that the new date for the celebration of its Founders’ Day will be announced as soon the issue of Covid -19 pandemic is overcome and lockdown is lifted across the country.
While praying to God to save all sons and daughters of the community from this plaque, he admonished them to keep to the necessary precautions. and stay safe.
It will be recalled that the Community Founders ” s day is 2nd May of every year. However, the Founders’ Day is always celebrated the nearest Saturday to Founders’ day if the day does not fall on Saturday.
