Commissioner For Education, Hon Wemi Jones Plays Host To Delegation Of Ayede Community, Assures Of Quality Representation

Kogi state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones, has received a delegation of Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, Political Leaders, Religious Heads and many other grass rooted indigenes of Ayede Community in Kabba Bunu Local Government who were on a courtesy visit to him at his office today.

The delegation led by the Obalusere of Ayede Bunu, His Royal Highness, Oba Samuel Olore disclosed that the visit was to come felicitate with their son on his appointment as Commissioner and also send their appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State for finding their illustrious son worthy of being in his cabinet.

The Commissioner, whose maternal origin is from Ayede Bunu expressed delight for the honor accorded him by leadership of the community. While addressing his guests, he thanked them for their unwavering support during his last aspiration to represent Kabba Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the national assembly, and also for standing by Governor Yahaya Bello in the last governorship election in Kogi State.

Hon. Jones highlighted some of the prospects and progresses the government has recorded in education since his assumption of office as Commissioner. He encouraged them to respectively join in the government’s fight to revamp the education sector in Kogi State. As he strongly appealed for the people’s continuous prayers and support for Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration and he assured that the Governor will not disappoint them. The Commissioner also affirmed that he will give them quality representation in governance, this he noted when he revealed some of his short, medium and long term plans for the community and Kabba Bunu local government at large.

Also present with the Commissioner to receive the Ayede Community leaders was the Special Adviser on Education to Kogi State Governor, Dr. Gabriel Ottah.
