NON INDIGENE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS HONOURS KOGI COMMISSIONER FOR AGRICULTURE, PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO’S REELECTION BID.
Few days after the entire Non Indigenes in Kogi State unanimously endorsed the APC gubernatorial candidates in the November 16, 2019 election, a smaller group known has the Non Indigene Young Professionals geared towards advocating support and guidance for non indigenes to join in solving today’s societal problems, have embarked on solidarity visits to strengthen the affirmation of their support for the reelection of Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja, his running mate.
The group’s representatives in a visit today to the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Kogi State, Barr. Kehinde Oloruntoba said there became a serious need for them to create a strong sense of belonging for the young industrious and passionate non indigenes like its members, willing to drive the new direction agenda and next level needed in Kogi State. Hence the visit.
According to the group’s Spokesperson, Comrade Charles Osagie, the group appreciates Governor Yahaya Bello for giving the non indigenes an opportunity to actively participate in his government. He also commended Hon. Oloruntoba for his diligence, humanitarian gestures and good works in the agricultural sector, noting that he has surpassed the expectations of the youths in the sector.
The Honourable Commissioner, while receiving the visitors was thankful for seeing him worthy of being a channel to formally pledge their support to Governor Bello. He highlighted some of the achievements of the New Direction Government that qualifies the incumbent Governor to remain in office for another term. He admonished the group to continue with their legitimate course and strive to take up leadership roles in the future.
He also urged the group’s membership to come out in their large numbers across Kogi State especially in the West Senatorial District and vote for Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward Onoja. He pledged to support the group in standing firm during the campaign process and as well as encouraging them to mobilize to their respective voting points on the election day.
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a Letter of Commendation and an Award of Excellence to the Commissioner in recognition of his astute stewardship in Kogi West and a friend to the non indigenes.
