Kogi State University Killings: Amb. Oladele John Nihi Reacts

Reacting to the recent killings in Kogi State University, Anyigba, the Commissioner for Youth Political Participation in Africa (PYU), Amb. Oladele John Nihi has reacted to the ugly development hovering over the citadel of learning.

No fewer than 13 students of Kogi State University, Ayingba, have been hacked down by unidentified assailants suspected to be members of secret cults in the institution.

The Youth Commissioner has condemed in totality activities of cult group in the institution; which started as a repel-attack from her sister school, Kogi State Polytechnic, as alledged by some eyewitnesses and students of the institution. Amb. Oladele John Nihi has urged the Student Union Government (SUG) leadership, Ethic Student Leaders, and Departmental Leaders, to come up with mechanism of securing their students even as they also Fish out criminal elements among themselves for long lasting peace to be established in the institution.

While also calling on the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Hakeem Busari, to Fish out all the perpetrators and bring them to book. Amb. Oladele John Nihi also admonished the State Government to provide more hostels for student considering the ever increasing population of students in the school; which will in turn guarantee safety of lives and properties of every student admitted into the school.

In a statement made available to newsmen by his Special Assistant on New media, Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta, Amb Dele Nihi said “This tragedy has devastated us all as a state and country at large. I pray for all aggrieved families for the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable losses. While putting hope on our security agencies and the government to respond accordingly and bring all perpetrators to book. May the souls of the departed finds rest” Amb. Oladele John Nihi admonished.
