Commissioner For Education, Hon Wemi Jones Attends Smart School Initiative Program

Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science And Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, has attended Smart School Initiative Programme on Thursday at the state glass house in Lokoja. The program was organized by State Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM.
Hon Wemi Jones formally introduced himself to the stakeholders at the meeting and x-rayed some of his blueprints in line with the New Direction agenda for the State.
Jones told the gathering which was attended by the governor of Kogi state ably represented by his deputy Chief Edward Onoja that there will be a lot of revolutionary changes in education sector under the leadership.
The commissioner promised that the position which is currently in West Africa Examination Council, GCE, NECO and JAMB would improve tremendously under his watch. He commended the initiators of the program and prayed for them stressing that he would be accessible at all times and his doors is widely opened for advise that would move the ministry forward.
The Commissioner said being the kind of person he is, he would from time to time go round schools, visit zonal coordinators, principals, etc to view things himself. He reemphasized on discipline and punctuality, which will stand as his watch-word.
